Our local moves can be a simple as moving furniture within a house to a full service pack-and-move. We can provide new or gently used material for you to pack your box-able goods, or we can pack them for you. Local rates cover moves within Anchorage, Wasilla, Palmer, essentially anywhere the road reaches in the state of Alaska. Moving an office full of people can seem like a daunting task, but not for The Moving Man! We can complete a full pack and move in an efficient and timely manner that saves your company time and money. We can accommodate both large and small office moves, and have the ability to store items if necessary. Considering the diversity of corporate moves, we highly recommend scheduling a complimentary walk-through with our estimator. Please contact the office for details.
Out-of-state moves range from full service (pack, load, and offload) to self-pack-and-load options. We offer the use of full 45’ and 40’ containers. We also ship vehicles, either separately or with your household goods inside a 40’ or 45’ container. We can help you pack and load, just load, or you can choose to load and offload your household goods on your own. You decide how much help you would like! We work with other moving companies similar to ours for those that need loading or offloading help outside of Alaska. Here are a few details on each level of service we offer. Self Pack and Load- This cost-effective service is design for those that would like to take care of the hard labor of packing and loading their own household goods into a container that we spot at their residence or in our yard. Perfect for the DIY’er or those that have lots of help from family and friends.
Loadmaster- Another option for the customer who wants to do the work themselves, but is looking for a professional to assist with loading the container securely and safely for travel out-of-state. Our loadmaster assists and lends their expertise for a well-loaded container. This is a great option for those customers who live outside of Anchorage or the Mat-Su Valley, but still want to do the majority of the moving work.
Pad Wrap and Load Service- With this service, the customer packs all box-able household goods and personal effects. The Moving Man crew pad wraps furniture and other pieces to protect these items in transit, as well as professionally loads and secures all of the household goods and customer-packed boxes into the container. This is one of our most popular services.
Partial Pack- For those that are comfortable packing soft and unbreakable items in their house like books, clothing, bathroom articles, etc. but would like professional help packing and wrapping fragile pieces, collectables, glass, and other items of concern. Often this is paired with our pad wrap and load service where The Moving Man team loads and secures all household goods into the container for shipment out of state. Partial pack service is also available for local moves as well.
Full Service Packing- This service takes the pressure entirely off of you. The Moving Man crew packs your entire house, as well as pad, wraps, and loads furniture and boxes. The ultimate choice in professional service and care.
We highly recommend scheduling a complimentary walk-through estimate for your out of state move, your large corporate move, or a particularly technical local move. All walk-through estimates are free and give you the opportunity to discuss aspects of your move with a moving professional. Our estimators share with you tips on how to be the most prepared for your move and also how to get the most value from our services.
We offer a variety of boxes and moving material for your use; small book boxes, medium and large standard boxes, specialty boxes for pictures/mirrors, dishes, and clothing, as well as professional packing tape, paper, and mattress bags. You can use the material to pack on your own, or have our crews pack and wrap for you. We also have gently used boxes that are offered at a discount.
